About the project

Chungu is a monthly community platform that brings girls together to discuss women’s and girls’ development. Participants explore careers, leadership, business, branding and practical skills while meeting mentors from different professional fields.

The opportunity

Talent is everywhere. Access to guidance and opportunity is not.

Girls can have ambition without regular access to mentors, career examples or practical business guidance. Chungu creates a recurring space where they can ask questions, build skills and learn directly from people working across different career fields.

Project design

Connected action. Lasting change.

The project connects four mutually reinforcing areas to address the challenge as a whole.

01

Leadership

Confidence, communication and the ability to take initiative in personal and community life.

02

Career readiness

Goal-setting and practical guidance help participants think clearly about education and career pathways.

03

Entrepreneurship

Problem-solving and enterprise skills support participants to identify and shape local opportunities.

04

Financial literacy

Everyday tools for planning, saving and informed financial decision-making.

How the project is delivered

Change grows through practical, locally grounded action.

Participants remain at the center of the process—building knowledge, services, skills and relationships that respond to the realities of their lives.
